JJ's Pet Sitting Cares about Your Pets!
Meet your Pet Sitter!
Hi, I'm Julie and I'm a Pet Lover.
That was pretty obvious, even as a kid, when I managed to ditch kindergarten for two weeks. When I was caught, my parents asked me why? I told them...." I like to play with all the dogs and cats on the way to school." Needless to say, I was escorted into the classroom every day after that. :-)
There has never been a period, in my life, that I have not had a furry, feathered, or scaly kid to love and care for. I continue to research and learn everything I can to try and make their lives healthier and happier.
I spent several years as a volunteer Animal Keeper at C.A.L.M. I learned a lot about different species and the importance of observation and documentation of each animals specific habits and needs. I believe that helps me to recognize subtle changes which can be an early sign of possible problem with an animal.
When you leave home, your pet gets lonely and maybe even a little stressed. If they are allowed to keep as close to the same routine as possible, it minimizes their stress levels, keeping them happier and healthier.
I started out, probably as most pet sitters, taking care of family, friends and co-workers animals while they were away. Then they started telling their friends. It has blossomed into the most rewarding 'job' that I could ever imagine. I am so lucky to be able to do what I love!
As your pet sitter I require, prior to your departure, that I meet you and your pet/s to see what their needs are. I try to keep them as close to their schedule as possible. I also require that you notify your Veterinarian the time frame that I will be taking care of your pets. In case an emergency arises, I would want them to be seen by the Dr that knows them the best if possible.
If this sounds like I might be a good fit for you and your pet/s, give me a call. We can talk more about your specific needs.
Thank you,
Julie
